How to make chicken lollipop

Chicken lollipop is a popular appetizer made from chicken wings. The meat is frenched, meaning it's cut and pushed down to create a lollipop-like appearance. These are typically marinated, coated in batter, and deep-fried until crispy. They are often served with dipping sauces and are enjoyed for their flavorful and crispy texture.

 recipe for chicken lollipop:

Ingredients:

- Chicken wings or drumettes

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1 teaspoon soy sauce

- 1 egg

- Salt to taste

- Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

1. **Prepare the Chicken:**

   - Clean and dry the chicken wings or drumettes.

   - Cut the skin and tendons around the bone, then push the meat down to create a lollipop shape.

2. **Marinate the Chicken:**

   - In a bowl, mix ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, soy sauce, and salt.

   - Coat the chicken in this marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

3. **Prepare the Batter:**

   - In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornstarch, a pinch of salt, and an egg.

   - Gradually add water to make a smooth, thick batter.

4. **Coat the Chicken:**

   - Dip each marinated chicken piece into the batter, ensuring it's well-coated.

5. **Deep Fry:**

   - Heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pan to 350-375°F (175-190°C).

   - Carefully place the coated chicken lollipops into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

6. **Serve:**

   - Remove the chicken lollipops from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

   - Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
